Plug ‘N Play and Service Events

Plug ‘N Play events are turn-key community service projects that CFT organizes for clients’ employees to participate in.We can also customize volunteer projects that fit the unique needs of your team and schedule. We can provide templates and tools to implement community-minded business practices.

Freedom Day Events

Freedom Day is an annual community service day honoring the lives lost and those forever changed by the tragic events of September 11, 2001. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities provided around the DFW area for companies, friends, families, and children.

  • In the past fifteen years, our annual Freedom Day events have brought together more than 13,000 volunteers, totaling 45,000 volunteer service hours. This equates to a value of more than $1 million in volunteer service hours
  • Last year, Freedom Day had a record-breaking 900+ volunteers participate in the day of service, and contributed service worth well over $200,000.

Community Hackathons

CFT4B’s Community Hackathon will provide an opportunity for CFT4B Clients to engage in a hackathon on social issues in our community. This will be an opportunity for business leaders and employees to learn about specific social issues and come up with hacks in a fun, engaging and learning environment.

Stay tuned as we announce our schedule and partners for this event to be held in 2018.

Networking Events

We host events throughout the year that bring together a community of good corporate citizens to celebrate philanthropy and provide opportunities to interact with high-profile business leaders.

GiveWisely for Business

CFT’s GiveWisely series was created as a way to assist donors in developing their own approach to their personal philanthropy—by thinking strategically and learning from a group of like-minded peers.

The goal of GiveWisely is to empower individuals to discover their core values and help them think critically about how they give. GiveWisely offers participants an opportunity to look deeper into what motivates them to give, so they leave the class with a clearer idea of which issues they want to support, the knowledge of how they can go about doing so, and the ability to say “yes” or “no” powerfully, depending on whether an opportunity is aligned with their own focus.

Employee Giving Circles

Allow your employees to collectively make decisions on their philanthropy through an employee giving circle that CFT can help facilitate. Employees make tax-deductible gifts, your company can decide to match them, and a committee of employees chooses the nonprofits that benefit from the gifts.
